Transforming land contamination into future opportunities

Liljemark Remediation is a contracting firm specialising in the remediation of contaminated soil, groundwater and sediment. Our specialist expertise lies in in situ remediation, where contaminants are treated on site without the need for extensive excavation or earthworks.

We work with a wide range of remediation methods and always tailor our choice of technology to the specific conditions of the site. Examples of remediation techniques include thermal remediation, chemical oxidation (ISCO), chemical reduction, biological methods, natural self-purification, in situ stabilisation, hydraulic control and ‘pump and treat’ solutions for contaminated groundwater. By combining several techniques, we can create robust solutions even for complex contamination scenarios.

Anneli Liljemark is the founder and Managing Director of Liljemark Consulting and Liljemark Remediation. With extensive experience of contaminated sites, environmental assessments and sustainable remediation solutions, she has led a large number of projects for both private and public sector clients. Anneli has a particular interest in technological development, innovation and creating solutions that combine environmental benefits, business benefits and long-term sustainability. She is a frequently sought-after speaker and enjoys sharing her knowledge by delivering training courses, both in Sweden and internationally.

Say Svanström

Say Svanström works on the development and implementation of measures in contaminated sites, with a focus on practical and sustainable solutions. Through her involvement with Liljemark Remediation, she helps to translate technical strategies into effective measures in the field. Say has extensive experience of remediation techniques and works closely with clients and partners to find solutions that are both technically sound and cost-effective. Say has extensive experience of implementing various types of in-situ projects.
